Lucky US- pets can teach us new tricks....

this today is not about our pets but about how we let life and people or events
dictate our joy. You can not love pets long with out realizing their unique and perfect capacity for happiness in a minute. Their amazing ability to forgive and trust even when some have been abandoned and left on the streets to die and starve.
The look of love when they see our faces after being gone all day.

Try this. Imagine you are holding a Orange. Turn it over in your hands. Can you feel the Grooves, can you feel the coolness, the round orange with your fingers holdling it tightly?? Is the Orange cold -is it warming? Just hold it for a moment and let your eyes connect with the color. Now hold the Orange to your nose. Can you smell the zest of summer-the smell of a holiday-the clean fresh aroma? Take a knife and see yourself cutting into the Orange. Can you see what's happening? Hold the Orange high and Squeeze feeling the juices into your tongue? Was it sweet and delightful, full of vitamins and thirst quenching sweetness.
This is our reality in the moment. It could have been sweet and a happy moment or it could have been a sour and rotten orange. Our minds hold all the power to make the decison in how we relate to our realities (with some exceptions most of us are not on the level of that possibility in times of true pain) WE can not always control what leads the day but we can control how we respond to most situations, the Orange was as real as a real Orange we had in our hands. In general we make our own reality - whatever our mind thinks, our body naturally responds.
